چکیده

A two-point orientation auto-correlation function (TP-OACF) was developed in order to quantify the spatial distribution of targeted texture components. An example of a TP-OACF was demonstrated using an idealized orientation map. Characteristics of the spatial distribution of major texture components in 6022-T4 Al sheets deformed in plane-strain tension were also quantified using a TP-OACF. The results showed that f110gh1 12i and f123gh63 4i orientations (in fNDghPDi notation, where PD is the pulling direction) tend to form localized diagonal and horizontal bands through the thickness, respectively, after the plane-strain deformation. The cube orientation on the surface initially showed a relatively strong texture band along the RD, but this banding behavior was less significant after the plane-strain deformation. Texture Correlation Representation Methods: Application to 6022 Aluminum Sheet

Two new graphical methods are presented for microstructural analysis of crystalline material. These analyses are intended to aid an understanding of deformation behavior at scales larger than the grain size. The correlation of orientation over large distances has rarely been investigated since long-range correlation has been assumed to be negligible, if present at all. The first method reveals ...

Identifying the time of a step change in AR(1) auto-correlated simple linear profiles

Assuming a first-order auto-regressive model for the auto-correlation structure between observations, in this paper, a transformation method is first employed to eliminate the effect of auto-correlation. Then, a maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of a step change in the parameters of the transformed model is derived and three separate EWMA control charts are used to monitor the parameters of th...

Cross- and auto-correlation in early vision.

Neurons that respond selectively to the orientation of visual stimuli were discovered in V1 more than 50 years ago, but it is still not fully understood how or why this is brought about. We report experiments planned to show whether human observers use cross-correlation or auto-correlation to detect oriented streaks in arrays of randomly positioned dots, expecting that this would help us to und...

Change Point Estimation of the Stationary State in Auto Regressive Moving Average Models, Using Maximum Likelihood Estimation and Singular Value Decomposition-based Filtering

In this paper, for the first time, the subject of change point estimation has been utilized in the stationary state of auto regressive moving average (ARMA) (1, 1). In the monitoring phase, in case the features of the question pursue a time series, i.e., ARMA(1,1), on the basis of the maximum likelihood technique, an approach will be developed for the estimation of the stationary state’s change...
